THIS IS HOW I AIM TO LIVE
With exactly the hat that you can see on this picture, in Pantin, Paris. I had come here to work on a book about almost love stories. It was snowing outside and cosy inside. My black woollen hat was lying on the working table in front of me. I looked at it while thinking about my dreams.
Writing a book is a beautiful process. But it is also a lengthy one and, at the end of a day, you can’t really touch your work. I was missing this a lot. I looked at my black hat again. The next morning, I went to buy some wool. And at the end of this working day, “Big Dreams Inside“ was there—and touchable. It belongs now to a friend, who saw it in a moment when she needed to believe in her dreams again.
Over time, the collection grew. I used old cashmere sweaters to embroider pieces that provide their wearers with solace and support.
To serve a larger audience, I eventually migrated to printing.
